St Lawrence Church - Eyam,Derbyshire - 16th December 2014

Eyam - "The plague Village" High in the Derbyshire Peak District.

St Lawrence as a Church is not very remarkable!
It is notable for its history and that of the village during the Plague which ravaged the country in 1665 and 1666.
Some the notable episode are Commerated within the church along withe the roll of those who died.

The Church is an imposing Medieval church dating from around 1250. Built of the local stone. On the wet day we went, Grey and Imposing!
